I followed the advice of many people on these forums and made my own slide gloves:
The velcro was 4 bucks for 8 feet, industrial strength
The gloves were 4 (i splurged for the orange, there were some ugly purple plaids for 1.50)
The corian tiles i collected from a sample drawer in the countertop section
The last two pictures show my homemade wrist strap solution, Industrial Strength velcro on both sides of the inside of the glove, although not as strong as a proper wrist strap, i used the velcro i already had and there is a significant improvement in how well the gloves stay on.
Hope this helps anyone who is looking.
Nice job!! Now lets see some pics of you sliding.
After you try those out,you might want to modify the cuffs better. When the cuff catches the pavement
it'll pull the glove off your hand.
Yeah, i'm still worried they won't be strong enough, but i didn't think i would be able to punch through the leather using just scissors, so that was what i could think of standing in home depot with my pockets overflowing with corian. But the gloves with straps were 20 bucks and none were made of leather.
