Default Slide Setup Question?

I'm really not a fan of double kick boards, and a 30" kickflipper board or a regular pool board isn't big enough for me. But i was thinking of picking up one of those Shmitt Stix Yard Stick reissues and setting that up for sliding. Any thoughts?

you might have trouble sliding from switch, but other than that i don't see any problems

I slide on a Funhouse "Big Fish"
It's a reasonable weight and have a massive tail kicker and a small but meaty nose kick, it has a large concave in it as well. Plus the front and back where you plant your feet space is huge.
Maybe you could check out the funhouse rage, most of the board a very similar style.

The Funhouse Bigfish looks insane! How does the weight and build feel compared to a popsicle? And might you know the narrowest part of the board?
Because it looks beefier and ... well down right awesome!

Checked out Funhouse Skateboards, Have Fun and think I fell a little bit in love ...
The ticket puncher looked sweet.

Yeah man all the Funhouse boards are pretty insane, right down the under board graphic. As for weight, its really solid. I like it quite heavy and because im riding on trackers its also low to the ground so really nice to slide, i have only ridden the Big Fish but i've checked out some others and the Big Fish cut and edges are just more complex, more cut outs and its not just one solid concave throughout the whole board. It change's in different places. As for the narrowest part of the board it measures at 8.1 inchs and the widest part is 9.5 inchs.
If your looking for a carve deck kissmedeadly i'd recommend it, but thats my personal opinion.

I was thinking about a second slide deck, maybe some street skating if I actually learn something else than shove its. But more of a dedicated slide deck.

edit: didn't see that you were giving your opinion to kissmedeadly.
But I guess I'm down to sergio yuppies pro model and funhouse ticket puncher .. or maybe bigfish. Thanks for sharing, mr. Bom.

Haha all good mate, Just putting it out in general really. As for street skating on the Big Fish, it works, you have to put a bit more effort into kickflip, just because of the weight. But i can do like all the old school tricks on it really well like no-comply and boneless's. Dont know if you've seen the no-comply grab tricks. like when you pop it up and grab it then run, throw the board around etc... There is a bit of stuff on it in my video. Its not the greatest video but it will show the very basic's of what it can do.

Loved the vide of the vid. Btw, what would you say is the difference between a revert and a 180 powerslide? I can pull off the revert, but I just don't get what I need to do to pull off a 180 powerslide/stand-up slide that I'm not doing while pulling off a revert. And I mean on a slide/skateboard with hard wheels.

Cheers, its a work in progress and i've gotten alot better since then as you do when making videos haha. Um there wouldnt be much of a difference i wouldnt think?? 180 powerslide has all four wheels on the groud.but so does the revert, but sometimes your use your kick to slide faster on the revert, and as far as i know. the revert is done after a trick for example, you revert after completing a landing off a vert ramp but if you did a say a kick flip then revert i would call that a kick flip to 180 power slide. Thats how i see it.
