Default Toeside 360 Question

I was just wondering if when you're doing a toeside 360, when you hit the 180 point, is it just the torque you get when starting the slide that will bring you past 180 or do you have adjust your feet when you hit 180 to transition past that point?

Hey dude I'm stuck here too, was trying to get them all last night, couldn't get past 180 (well with me on board anyway).

This is my plan of attack, just yet to do it still. When you get to 180 and your facing up the hill, keep your head turned towards the bottom of the hill, in the direction of your spin. Have the board kind of kicked out a fair way away from you, taking weight off the back truck whilst taking your left foot (if natural) and scooping it underneath you, then pushing it from underneath and away from you. So your foots kind of like going from your left to your right (if natural obvsly) side of your body. This will set the board up to spin you around that extra 180 degrees.

I'm having trouble scooping my foot underneath me, board goes flying. I continue down hill towards curb at high speed.

P.S. Video Woah he keeps hell upright, maybe thats it, i'm sliding with my bod really low.

Watch that video and use the scooping thingy he mentioned. Another thing that helps me get past the 180 is to drop my front foot so my ankle is touching the board. It helps me lock in better because my slide set up has like a 3" nose, but if you get your foot in that pocket and you do the scooping motions, you should be fine. Keeping your body like you're at the top of a push up position is a good idea too. It'll allow allow your feet to work under your body.

Ya, what I was trying yesterday, was to try to get to the 180 point with my front foot further forward, closer to a flatspin, so my back foot would have space to shift the board through the 180. What happened was, my back foot stayed in the place it always was and my front foot was placed to the point I couldn't keep the board under me. I was hoping that I could keep the back foot closer in, but it was as far out as it was before and my front foot was WAY out there.

Is this with, or without hands?

With hands: I like to do them with two hands, dont do the "scoopy" thing, and keep on to a 540, then rewind it with a sort of surrender 540 thing.

It helps to break it up when learning. Do a toeside 180, chill out a bit riding switch, then stick your back hand (right hand if you're goofy) down and do the other 180

without hands: it's one motion on a sliding board with hard wheels, but since i do them on my dervish with flywheels i have a slight pause still

It's been more than a year since i've gone "sliding" though

once you get it to the 180 point think of it as you doing a coleman slide, well the last half of it. if your goofy bring it around by lifting your left hand up and swinging it across your body and your set

Oh ####. :P That sucks. I can't 180 heelside from switch to save my life. I can do 180 toesides from switch really easy.
