I'm new to sliding in general, but i'm trying to figure out some stand up slides while i'm still trying to get some gloves. Are there any techniques or tricks to the stand up slide?
The gravity videos and the loaded slide help/challege 6 series 1 videos helped me out a lot.
The biggest thing that helped me is to put a lot of weight on the front foot and then swing it around with the back foot as your carving. It sounds complicated but like the others said, just keep rewatching the videos, you'll get it eventually.

if you don't like those threads then why do you even click them in the first place.
I fully understand why you are pissed and i dont like the 1000th incarnation of threads about certain topics either but the anti-noob-army IMO is just another thing that this forum doesn't need
we dont have to search for threads that 'bug' us, there are literally 50 new ones posted every day.

additionally, unless something was funny i assume all posts are serious. no need to tell me you're serious.
sure it's a waste of space .. and yes searching helps a lot. those topics have been covered countless times but i think that does not justify to act like a douchebag.
the problem is that kind of behaviour won't help solve the problem. People register at the fish every day probably and being new to it they just start posting ( with no bad intentions )
However i do think that a little update or something would improve information quality of this forum a lot.
I would do it like this: When people start a new thread, the forum could be searched automatically for the keywords of the thread title, a popup appears saying "have you noticed these threads -> ... * list of threads* " and then the person can click yes or no.

alright take it easy...I have to agree that there has been a RIDICULOUS AMOUNT of a new posts lately asking things that have a bountiful plethura of threads about them...sometimes even like 15 or 20 down the thread topics from the top...
