Well I've been running my Dervish now with 78A gumballs and enjoy it a lot. However, when I longboard with my friends we are doing a lot of pushing and hills every now an again. I can do a hill up to 30mph and maintain balance. But I'm looking for a wheel that can get me from point A to B with little effort, but I also don't want to sacrifice stability and grip in my turns.
try the. O-gangs in heats if u can get them I have those same gumballs but the in heats are alittle grippier and orange lol.......but before u get new wheels try and get new bearings cuz speed has everything to do with bearings as it does with wheels...... ............... Oo and u shuld look into some big zigs or. Some avillas both excellent wheels
On my Dervish I`ve used lime Big Zigs, 81a Gumballs, Orangatang In Heats and now Fish Balls, wich is the Retro Powerballs in reflex urethane. The smaller Fish Balls makes for easier pushing, quicker turning and they`re easy to slide. With it`s smaller contact patch and rounded edges you`ll do sacrifice some grip, that`s ok for me.
A good alternative is 70mm Zigzags or 70mm Orangatang 4Presidents, more grip than Powerballs and still has the quicker rolling advantages of smaller wheels.
Other options are 70mm EW Superballs, 71mm Aligators, Tunnel Tarantulas ... All good wheels.
