I'm looking for a dedicated sliding deck and I can get one of this, is it good? It has indy's and S9 Nineballs (60mm 97a).
I've been using a S9 Ganesh with gullwing mission 1's and element amoeba wheels, so I think it would be an improvement.
I wanted a Corchia or a Drifter with indy's and slide a's, but I'm in Mexico and I would have to order it online and pay around US$220, and this one is like US$170 'cause it's right here in Mexico. Is it worth it? or should I just save some more to get an earthwing?
How big are you. I'm 6'4" and 185 lbs. I feel the longer boards ( near 40" ) drag on the ass end during extreme technical slides. If you are just begining then this should be no issue. You can always upgrade to a more slide specific board when you kill the s9.
P.S. You should also order directly from Brian Petrie on the EW site.

I'm 5'7" and 160 (not fat, just heavy...hahah). I'm just beginning but I don't wanna waste my time and money on some crap... If I have to, 40 bucks are really not that much, I would have to wait like one or two weeks, but if the s9 is good, then why wait?
Do you think that by ordering directly from Brian Petrie on the EW site I could get a better price?
that board rapes for sliding. definately better concave than the earthwings and gravitys, and its really easy to do stand ups with. id take the s9 rising over any of the gravity boards
The only thing that s9 board rapes is rabid dogs and cats.
Get the earthwing deck with slide a wheels, or at least some slide a wheels. If you want a dedicated technical slide deck do it right and do it once. Karrot is running some weird ass randal DH setup slide deck.
[HamsterChucker360] 10:45 pm: the corchia is perfect in everyway
[HamsterChucker360] 10:45 pm: i even told jessica corchia that, i said "its perfect for me"
[circle] 10:45 pm: dervish, doesnt it not have pockets after the kicktails
[HamsterChucker360] 10:46 pm: idk stood on it in like may
[boarderaholic] 10:46 pm: i wonder how creeped out she was by that comment...
[HamsterChucker360] 10:49 pm: dont sig that, just sig i like dicks
Yes, I want a dedicated technical slide deck, and I will get slide a wheels. But the deck looks good. Is it really worth it to get an EW instead of the S9 nine. If I get the EW I'll have to wait like a month because of the shipping... damn...
What I need is someone who owns/has tried it. I don't want S9-hater's opinions, please. Be objective.
thanks
the rising is actually hands down one of my favorite longer boards out there. its a 39.5 and it really feels like a 36. the kicks really lock you in. only complaint i have is i feel that the tail is a little narrow.
yes, i have rode a drifter, most gravity setups, and most of the s9 pool decks, and this is by far one of the more comfortable decks out there. go for it

You can slide any deck if you want, the nineballs wheels would just be a waste of cash if you get that complete setup.
And as for the sector 9 hater thing, fyi my main deck is a s9 kommi

I know that. but I just remember a while back that he modded some randal dh's and put sphericals in the baseplates and hangars. I was wondering if those were the same ones and if so why they were on his slide deck.
