Exclamation Rate this Slide Setup Please

Board: Gravity Pool 35"
Trucks: Tracker Sixtrack
Wheels: Earthwing Slide A's
Risers: 1/4" ?? any brand??
Bushings: ?? dont know a good khiro slide setup

I'm probably going to be ordering a slide deck this week, I was wondering what you guys thought. I'm pretty new to sliding, I want something that will slide a lot better than my dervish with bigzigs.

thanks

Although I don't personally own that setup, I think it should do just fine as a sliding setup. As far as risers anything really works and bushings are all preference. I run yellow khiros on my 38" EW Drifter with Indy's and slide A's but know peole who run whites. Try a couple different bushing setups and just try whatever feels the best for you

I ride mine loose enough to turn, but tight enough to keep stable. I achieve this by switching out my Sixtracks or Indy bushings in Tracker blue Super Balls 90a.

Another combination I'm pretty happy about is a bottom Medium Lucky Bushing and a no brand plastic bushing from a toystore on top. So if you play around with your bushings you might achieve a nice balance of both turn and stability.

sounds like a good setup man! you'll love it.

i have my indy's pretty tight but loose enough to turn well, i think it helps wheels loose traction faster but that maybe just me..

It's a good setup, great board, the best slide wheels and I love the sixtracks. The bushings are just a question of personal preference, and also your weight, so I can't help with that, on my setup I run Blue/Red Khiro combo on both trucks, I'm 144lbs. As for the risers, just buy some khiro 1/8" or even 1/4" shockpads, I use the 1/8''.

as tight as i can on the hardest bushings i can. if the board turns its too hard to lock it up coming out of a rotation.

I like the indy red (soft) aftermarket bushings. I like my trucks fairly loose. IMO quicker and sharper turns and more lean for the hands down stuff. Like the bushing duro its a matter of individual taste.

As you can see everyone developes a preference to either loose or tight trucks with a slide board. You have to figure out what works best for your style. That set up is a great start.

What's the size of the darts that you bought, 149mm? If it's that there will be no problem, the sixtracks are a version of the darts with 161mm. The Gravity Pool 35" is 9.25'' width, so both sizes should be good, although my personal preference goes for the sixtracks.

just got the setup 10 minutes ago, cant wait ot go out and ride! My only complaint is when I ordered my Dervish from Daddies Board Shop, I added 2 sets of Khiro bushings to the cart and asked that they put them on the setup, but they put them on and gave me a free set so I bought extra bushings for nothing. So this time, I told them to throw some khiros on the setup and they didnt so now im gunna have to buy some, which isnt a big deal I guess a little annoying though
