Default Beginner and progressive board

Hey guys I'm new to sliding and I checked the marked thread for beginners, but I am still confused on what board to get for sliding. The Corchia from Earthwing looks nice, but it doesn't come in a complete and my other option is Gravity Skateboards.

My old longboard,3-4 yrs old, I screwed up at the moment, by stripping 2 screws while trying to remove the trucks and now I'm not sure how to take them off. If anyone could help me on that issue; I'll be able to skate sooner on a friends busted up deck .

a dremel tool will be great here
use it to make a deep groove on the stripped screws so you can use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew them

as for the deck i too was looking for one and the corchia and bigfoot are great same with the drifter by EW

Get the Corchia. Set it up with Indy 169s, Earthwing Slide A Superballs, and Biltin bearings and you've got yourself a solid sliding setup.

I found this site in which I could make a complete Corchia. I'm not sure of all the differences in trucks, bearings, and wheels (know that higher duro is better for sliding but that's all), but I made a complete for a cheapskate like myself. Can you guys rate my build and provide better ones which aren't over $200. I haven't checked the shipping to Hawaii yet as well; I already know that will burn a hole in my pocket. Can't link the setup I chose but here's the sitehttp://socalskateshop.com/index.php?..._detail&p=8630

Wells just gave you an ideal setup

Check Earthwing Corchia 35" Complete for their corchia complete, i bet you can get it shipped for under 200 and their basic setup is pretty sweet imho

Wow, Thanks man the total will come out to around $150 and I'll be willing to pay that. Nice site with cheap completes.
