Default Lots & lots of questions!

Ok im new to slalom and only do it outside my house about 2, 3 times a week.
I try to work these things out for my self with tryle and error but its to hard switching wheels, bushing, trucks and risers all the time so im just guna come out with it in one little thread.

    So here they are:

What angle should the rear truck be?
What angle should the front truck be?
Is 22 inchs to short for a deck?
Would u loose grip when u use 86a bigzigs at the front instead of 80a like at the back?
Why do i always loose grip at the back?
What bushing duro do i use? (i am 50kgs)
How far apart are the cones in a proper slalom race?
How much should it turn at the back?
How much should it turn at the front?

    Thanks

look at pink bigzigs, or pink 7 Oh's, they should help keep grip in the rear, or Avila's, or something.
look at fullbag boards. They have a bunch of slalom decks you could compare to yours.

Use a quick turning duro for your weight, with lots of rebound. Check our Reflex 78a to 85ae bushings, or something.

The back should track the front for easy pumping, so the less turn, and more lean the better. dewedge it. The front should turn a lot. Wedge that sucker. Angle, etc depends on the trucks you're using.

    22" is pretty short....

front truck and back truck wedges 9/16ths to 3/16ths both the front and the back truck should be FAT to The Back of the truck.
22 inched is pretty short but what is your wheel base, the shortest wheelbase I ride is 18inches and the longest 25.
yes you will loose grip with 86 in the back, but you would gain speed for all round slalom I use 88 front 84 back.
The most common reason for loosing grip in the back is that you are leaning to far forward as you go though the cones.
The distance between cones depends on the type of slalom that you are running, but for practice I would suggest 6 feet (1.8 meters) apart.
I'm not sure what you mean by the last two questions. But the front truck should do the turning and the back truck should fallow in most cases.

    Hope this helps

No, i use 80a at the back and 86a on the front. Will it be gripper if i put 80a on the front or will it not make a drfference??

I assume that you are surf stance. if this is the case then you want your softer wheel in the back.

Also bushings i would suggest Khiro Blues regular on the bottom and pyramid on top.

Just 5 minutes ago i ordered from the hop shop a CHI-ILL midnight special and some khiro orange barrel and small aluminum insurts. Hopfuly a bigger board will help with grip.
What will be a good wheel base for me??? 21inch or 22, or it doesnt realy make a diference???

Wheelbase is largely determined by the courses you run. I run 18" for tight, all the way up to 23" for GS...

    Ok, I am not new to slalom and I only do it ..., damn cannot recall, but not very often anymore. Seriously, you are smart to work things out yourself but a good benchmark to start from will help. My two cents;

What angle should the rear truck be?

Hard to answer ur question w/o knowing what you are riding.

What angle should the front truck be?

    As above.

Is 22 inchs to short for a deck?

Yes for a deck. If you are talking wheelbase that is different. What are we talking about here?

Would u loose grip when u use 86a bigzigs at the front instead of 80a like at the back?

Not necessarily. Tarmac temp and condition, many thing affect loss of grip not just duro.

Why do i always loose grip at the back?

Wow, great question need more data on what you ride. Do you lean forward a lot? Do you put any weight over the rear truck? More data...

What bushing duro do i use? (i am 50kgs)

    As above.

How far apart are the cones in a proper slalom race?

Depends on discipline; 5.5' to 6'+ on centers TS and Hybrid.

How much should it turn at the back?

    Dead as a doornail.

How much should it turn at the front?

    A lot.
