    Default 8 mm Axles

Anyone know where I can get (upgrade to) 8mm axles w/o buying precision trucks?

if you are trying to put them in a cast truck, you'll have to ream the existing axel hole to fit the larger true 8mm axel. not sure what damage that could do to the integrity of the truck.

unless you are talking about screw in axels in which case a machine shop is the way to go.

what exactly are you trying to do, out of curiosity?

A machine shop is your best bet.. I have them made for Zealous trucks here.. I won't devulge the materials I use notr the tempering process.. but any machine shop can lathe and thread a rod of good material to your specs.

Crails are supposed to be a true 8mm axle and you can pick up a pair for $59.95 shipped (less the silverfish disc) LongboardSkater.com: Crail Longboard Skateboard Trucks
    Madrid Sean Mallard Flushmount
    Flat Black Crail 180mm trucks
    Cult Gamma Rays 72mm 83.5a

if you plan on retro fitting 8mm axles to cast truck you better own older trucks, most newer trucks have their axles cast in place instead of pressed in. You can't remove the axle without destroying the hanger, I did it on a set of Stage 7 Indy 215s but I don't think its possible on stage IX and X Indy's
