    Default first run

i recently picked up an axe 2.5 from a buddy and set it up a few days ago. ive been riding it around and pumping, but had yet to take them through some cones until today. i was visiting my roomate at work (starbucks) and there's a creek trail nearby that had a decent incline, so i got him to steal me like 35 cups and i set up a run. at first i took it slow and was skipping "cones" because of my comfort level, by the end of it i was zipping in and out of those buggers like nobodys business. granted i was not going that fast and im sure the cups were spaced a bit too far apart, but for my first day doing slalom it was kick ass!

still tinkering with the setup though, but it feels great and i havent had this much fun on a board in a while.

    Welcome to the cone addiciton.
It will just keep getting beter and more
    fun every run you make....
I'm still trying to figure why weaving around
cones is so much fun and so addicting..
All I do know is that I love it...
Keep at it and you'll just keep getting
better at it, and it will become a natural
act, you won't even have to think about
    it while you're dodging cones.
And the setup of your board will become
a lifelong pursuit, dialing in slalom boards
is a never ending quest, but worth every minute.

i got a wicked rash from the slalom bug that bit me. im super stoked about tomorrow, me and some friends are gonna set up a course on a bigger hill!!

part of whats got me hooked already is just how accomplished i feel after every run. knowing that i can control my board in tight quarters at speed just makes me feel like more of a man haha. and yes im definitely looking forward to the quest of dialing in my setup. already thinking about it. youll see a few more "noobish" posts from me about setups so i apologize in advance .
