Eye Phly Slalom blank

So I finally got down to making a press I have wanted to make for over a year now.......... A multi-deck press. Old school decks, Slalom decks, Speed boards, and Pin tails can all be pressed with a few simple pieces of ply and or special cut blocks temporarily screwed in place, and maybe a change of the top mold. some of the press is just there no mater what.....

so anyhow this cat wanted a slalom deck on the basic premise of an old Tony Alva or Powell Perralta kinda rig.... Client gets to shape the deck and lay down his personal choice of art

9" raw blank width
1/2" thick
3/8" concavity
3"-4" mild kicker
33" overall
4 layers of BB

I think it should do the trick for holding in his feet for TS

Well it seams kinda flexy torsional to me....... the rider is 200lbs and about 6' 2", says he likes his decks on the stiff side.

this is the prototype...... only good things will come from it

if it has torsional flex, do the same amount of plies but make one of the middle layers cross ply

cool thats what I'm thinking...... I just need to test these two prototypes..... looking for a local vendor of Canadian Maple 1/32-1/16 thick..... would be a nice addition to the BB...
Also thought about a layer of Glass top and bottom......? I also have access to Carbon but really want to stick with the organic of wood8)

I know i'll stick with wood...... but this way people have an option to use a raw blank, shape it, and add glass or carbon....

I also have some of these items that can be used for your front foot, 1 or 2...... you place them drill holes and bolt them down. You can even cut them down in height as per your customization, more knurled contact for your shoe.

I'd like to come out and play but I have to study for Finals and finish up Scott's multi-deck order, plus experimenting with the Carbon/Kevlar Nano products

I should have a few blanks pressed up once school is out, hopefully there is a day or two that is conducive for skating in A2 over the winter break

If so come down and test out some Eye Phly decks
