Default Why doesn't someone make a slalom truck like this?

Why doesn't someone make a slalom truck with an adjustable wheelbase similar to how this Makaha truck works?

Id trust an adjustable wheelbase like the one uses on munkae trucks more than that.

    But I agree

That's a very poorly designed plate. Bet If you went out and pumped that it'd break pretty damn quick but i see where you're going with the idea. Problem is it means less material in a high stress area and it's easier to to drill holes than route channels.

Dude, you set that board up with quick releases -- hell, maybe even wing nuts -- and it would rule. Pretty cool as-is.

that seems like an easy enough design to mimic. all you would need to do is mount the baseplate on the slider, and make a washer bolt system through the slider. not too hard.

I've been skating the GiVA track system for a while now and it works great. A basic skate tool is all you need to move your wheel base around. A few twists, slide the plate and a few more twists and your done. I even have a second set of plates with different trucks. A quick easy swap out and I can go from skating TS and HS to skating GS. I've had no problems with the plates slipping and no signs of the track wearing out. I've gotten spoiled by the ease of changing wheel bases around.

A Czech slalomer did just this:

It appears a lot of GOG engineering was also copied and fed into the milling maching to make this truck.
Just because you can take a naked picture of yourself doesn't necessarily mean you should.
