Hybrid & Tight Slalom in Los Angeles on Nov. 14th

Hey my peoples:

Two low-key, fun little slalom races are coming up next month on Saturday, November 14th.

All are welcome, no signup required:

3pm: single-lane hybrid slalom at Peck Park
Crestwood & Western Ave., San Pedro, Los Angeles, CA 90732
~35 hybrid cones, some GS skills required
max 4 cone hits

8pm: single-lane tight slalom by the Los Angeles Harbor
20th & Crescent Ave., San Pedro, Los Angeles, CA 90731
~66 tight cones, not too technical
max 7 cone hits

Both races have no per-cone penalties. Hit more than the max cones = DQ

$10 each race or $20 for both. Bring cash & jump on in!

Helmets absolutely required for race & practice.

Come on down for some wholesome cone carnage!

i've never slalomed before lol. i've had a slalom deck but never just never put money towards making it a complete.

UPDATE 11-12-09: RACES ARE CANCELED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR EARLY NEXT YEAR, SORRY.

Apologies in particular to anyone who had made plans to come in from out of town. Sorry also for the short notice. For a number of reasons the races became impossible to hold on that day and places and it just now became apparent.
