Default Help me build my set up

Okie doke, first of all, I'm completely new to slalom, I weigh 71 kg's which is about 155? pounds i think...I'm also about 5.8-5.10 (i don't know exactly) sorry.

I've got a Bennett 5.0 and a tracker RT-S 129mm to match (probably too wide for TS?), I'm setting the Bennett up with white Khiro short cone/barrel bottom and an orange barrel top. Should I leave the bushings in the tracker? if not, what should I get for it?

I need help with the REST of my set up. I'm not sure what boards i should look into that will work well with my trucks, I've been told the axes are good but i hate the look, is there anything else? or should i just buy one and sand the sharp angles to my liking?

Also, what sort of wedging will i need to run? and what size bolts would i need as well?

    Thanks for all the help!

you might try making your own. all you need is a couple of larger clamps, and a skill saw, or band saw. (i am sure at least a neighbor will have some of that stuff if you dont)

wood and glue will cost you 20-30 if you look the right places. you can rattle can it and use a polyurethane over it all. this is one of the builds next on my list.

if you fee the need for narrower trucks you can pick up a pair of Tracker RTS/RTX truck for $24

    Tracker RT-S
    Tracker RT-X

just select the 106mms and there you do. use the code Race to.

for wheels there are tons of options out there. yu want a wide high traction wheel. it should just barely be small enough that you dont get wheelbite. dont be afraid to make this thing tall either,

you might want to get this too, its such a good deal, it almost pays for itself.

also one thing to keep in mind is dont go the cheap route. it will cost you more in the end. you will spend more money slowly upgrading parts than just flat out saving and buying the nice stuff.

    have fun.

thanks for that, Do i really need thinner hangar-ed trucks? also, quick question, on a bennett does the axle run the entire way through? or would i have to rip the axle, shave the hangar then re-insert and pin the axle if i wanted to go thinner (i have access to a machine shop if i need it, i'd rather not have to though)

any suggestions for boards? i don't really want to have to build one at this point, i'm sick of messing my builds up haha
