so i figured this would be a good place to ask
I recently chopped a street deck into a slalom deck and Im wondering what truck setup I should get
The deck is 8in wide and about 24" long

a slalom deck..at 24 inches? Glue 4 or 5 more inches back onto the board.

I saved as much as I could (it was relativley trashed) and im just looking for it as a starter/introductory slalom board
I just want to see if i like slalom and then ill probably upgrade to a better deck later

so far I really love it, just gotta find someone around Denver that will let me come kill some cones with them. I dont have any any cones or know any good hills to practice on. anyways would love any input. I redrilled the rear truck back alittle bit, Maria from sk8kings suggested it

Is that too much de-wedging in the rear?
Ramseyb4, That Randall baseplate has a good amount of angle for de-wedge built in I think. Which plate are you using? I think you can take out 2 wedges from the rear, try dropping a 3/16" riser or 1/4" flat in there with 1 10 degree wedge. Use stiff bushings of course I have no idea how much you weigh but use a stiffer bottom than top on the rear.

Hard to tell up front if that is a 5 degree or flat wedge before the 10 degree one. Go for 15 degrees up front total. Don't be concerned in the rear from wheel top to top of deck is lower than the front; it's okay.

Try that and let us know what shakes. Give it a fair try now, it will be odd at first but I think you will find better handling and no nose bleeds...

so this board is a long time in the running. i just put the last coat of polly on it and put my setup on.i have 25" 22" 20" and 19" wheelbase options. the deck itself is 35 long with kick and 9" at the widest with concave. it pumps like mad at the 22" setting i cant wait to set a coarse. let me know what you think.

    peace

nope, sorry, no steve olson involved in this project.

as you can read from the post, o&h is a small german company operated by two friends of mine.
the company name is kind of a nickname/surname combination.

Why is there a rubber pushing on the top of the deck?

not sure what board your talking about and I assume you meant 'bushing'. It's probably a foot stop. It's stops your foot from sliding up and off the front of the board when you get carving hard. I suggest using one for slalom because the alternative is one of the most painful bails in the biz.

EDIT: didnt see someone already answered. oops.
