    Default Need input.

    This X-Mas...
I'm gunna be getting an Insect TS sidewinder deck(30 inches) and a subsonic pauliwog(30 inches).
I'm wondering what trucks and wheels you guys have had the most luck with.
What i was thinking was siesmics with hotspots or maybe cambrias.
    What do you all think?

    Thanks.

If you're setting up both boards, and you feel you must have seismics, get yourself atleast one Tracker RT-x for a front truck. Alot of people like seismics as fronts or backs for whatever reason... but try both and see what suits you better.

Tracker RTX/S 106 are good low priced trucks.
Double Seismics feel strange, better to
only use one for back with rtx front.
If you have the money get Splitfires.

    Wheels: Grippins, Avalons, Manx, Hotspots
are all good. Cambrias are too small and slow
    for most races.

Soft white khiro bushings with +20 deg
    wedging for front.

Med bushing and flat or -5 deg wedge in back.

    Default Choices!

Trackers are definitely the way to go if your on a tight budget. If you are running tight courses then cambrias are the way to go.

They are by no means slow. They may be slower on some courses but can also prove to be the fastest on others.

Boards well there are several out there to choose from. If you ride with people try to test some out so you have an idea of what suits your style or technique.

I belive that KebbeK makes a claude regier pro model slalom deck.

That one would be a good choice.

What do you mean they actually race? 2 of the 3 boards mentioned in this topic are pro models for active racers.

No it doesn't whatever that means. I'm not getting worked up about this but I just find your attitude somewhat abrasive. Just to dismiss everyone's opinions and then get bent when you get called on it. Not only are some of the boards mentioned what slalom racers are riding this thread even has one of the actual premiere slalom racer commenting! And while he didn't specifically suggest any one board his input shouldn't be dismissed because you say otherwise.

Don't get me wrong PP's are great boards, their riders are great riders and they should be considered but not to the exclusion of other brands.

    That's all. No biggie.

    This has helped alot.
    About PP boards thou.
Are the Hardcore series (I think thats what its called, the one thats a step below the highest end $200 boards) any good?
How would you all think they compare to the pauli wog?
    How about the insect?
    Thanks.

The hardcore series are boards constructed of all wood, just like the Pauliwog (unless you pay extra to get fiberglass). The Insect boards are made of a combo of wood/glass (carbon fiber for extra) and will have different flex characteristics. I ride a PPS Brown Bomber, I just got into slalom and it works for me. The Pauliwog would be a great deck, so would any other PPS deck as long as you get one with the right size for what you want to do.
