    Default my new setup!

i just put together and tested my new slalom setup. its a comet gary cross pro model with a geezer rts on the back and a normal rtx on the front 106 all around. and i got some manx 80/84 to try out since my zig zags keep falling apart. it rides nice but...

can anyone give me advice about how to get more power into my pump out of the back truck setup? right now its dewedged with a single standard 1/2 to 1/4 hard riser and tracker hourglass bushings. i have some other bushings i could swap in perhaps but i dont know enough yet
hey yo son that's my name whats the word?

Try some more dewedge. I had the exact same harware setup for awhile except 78 manx. I had areound 12 degrees of dewedge. Does your rear wash out on you? If so try some harder bushings. In all honesty it might be your technique. Watch as many slalom videos that you can get your hands on and copy the best guys. (posted by a slalom loser)

Definately - sk8kings has DVDs on the last couple years of slalom racing, as well as the classic "this is NOT skateboarding" vid. And...hooray for the slalom losers!! I'm counting on this strategy to work, going to races and getting beat for so long, that finally something 'snaps' and I'll start climbing the ladder to beat "that guy" that keeps taking the podium. Well that's my strategy and I've been doing it a few years now...hmm. I wonder if it will ever work

If you're into the foam PPS wedges, you could build a little foam tail on the back of your board, but this is purely a preference thing. On some but not all setups I like to have that little bit of wedging, I'm not sure if its really the wedge creates that much more power, or its just the confidence of knowing exactly where your back foot is on the board when you don't have much time for readjustments.
