I've been slowly working on this board off and on for a while. It's 30"x9" at the widest point. The wheelbase can go from 17.5" to 21.5" in 1/2" incriments. I doubt I use them all but I wanna figure out what I like. I got the template off the sticky on how to make a slalom board on this forum. It has some concave and was going to have a kick tail, but the press broke and it turned out almost flat. It looks more like the tail has rocker. I still like how it turned out, and I put trucks, wheels and grip on it today and it pumps awesome with the Tracker RTs/x combo. The red strip is because the grip tape I bought was to narrow so I decided to put a strip of red grip down the center to help with foot placement. I made wood risers for it and wedged the front and dewedged the back. I also put a soft 1/8" shock pad between the deck and the wood risers. Should I move this between the wood risers and the wedges or between the wedges and the trucks instead? I put the green 70mm zigzags in rear (more traction right?) and yellow in front. Any comments about it or thoughts on how to improve it would be appreciated. You might see me at the Dixie Cup if I can convince a friend or 2 to go with me and if it's ok to be a total novice and still make a run or 2. We'll be the DBAS crew from Va. Beach.
