Default Gravity SS29 and GS 32

I've read the existing posts on these boards but I was curious what other's experience in riding these have been. How do they compare with other SL and GS Boards with simular set-ups? Other than the flex patern and lenght does the GS 32 have the same construction as the newer SS29? I'm looking for my first Slalom Board that have some quick snappy flex at my weight of 168lbs.

the axe I/II complete from sk8kings isnt much more than the gravity complete.

Slalom style riding and I would probably put rts/rtx combo. I've looked at the Axe but I also want something that would be little easier to pump, (but not a dedicated pumper).

rts/x would be pretty good. i dont see why the axe would be hard to pump.. also, low speed pumping boards (short ones) require a completely different technique over about 15 mph, like my heavily wedged(front) BL 30'' with rts/x
    have you considered loadeds boards?

I have a Vanguard 38" but I'm looking for a SL. Is your BL 30 a Bruce Logan?

I second the recommendation for an Axe complete as your first slalom board. For that matter I would recommend the PPS Brown Bomber e-series even more (also found at sk8kings), since they will be better general skateboards to have if it turns out you don't get into slalom that much. I don't recommend the Gravity board. A pre-dialed setup like the Axe or PPS boards will make it much easier for you to jump right in. Too bad Pocket Pistols or Skaterbuilt aren't selling completes.

other great boards to look at are the Skaterbuilt Cone Killer hybrid, and the Subsonic Saint...they make awesome tight/Hybrid boards, yet are still fun to pump cruise on!!!

I was running my Skaterbuilt Hybrid that I raced in the last COSS hybrid thru a 5.5 ft technical CBark tight course today...I love that board...

The skaterbuilt looks like a like a nice board but I was surprised of how short it's WB is. I'm drawn to boards that are in the shape of the Garvity SS and Rayne Timeline, which have longer WB. The Gravity SS29 has a WB of 20.5". That gives you a WB of a GS board while sticking with an SL length. Does anybody have any thoughts about the advantages of a shorter board while still having a longer WB? Any suggestions of other SL boards that have the longer WB?

Cone Killer hybrid long wheel base is 20.5, I typically run mine at 20" ...the Cone Killer TS is small wheelbase, I only ride that for Chris Barker style tight course

AXE 2 is 20" and 21" and a hell of a nice ride

and both will serve you far better on Slalom courses than the Gravity...If you want flex, I would look into the PPS e-series boards, as the skaterbuilt and Axes dont flex, but drive like mad. Here in Greeley we have had several college students get boards in the last few months, mostly Axes and Cone Killers with a few PPS as well, and all are learning quickly, and the 2 gravity boards that the longboard club has just seem to sit idly on the sidelines while the others are raced..
