    Default New School Conversion

I've been looking at a few slalom decks lately and noticed quite a few with the back truck on the tail... so I was wondering if one could drill holes in the back of a new school and reshape the nose?

Any thoughts. I'd assume It's been done before?
anyone know if it works ok / don't bother it'll suck?

Something like this, don't realy like the nose yet but it gets the idea across

    Steve,

One of the fastest guys on the East Coast is Ga. Tom Thompson. In hybrid he's equal to if not faster than Evan, RonO, 66, Marty and Hollien. The guy has an incredible pump.

His ride of choice? A concave popsicle stick he re-styled with a router saw and some sand paper. He did EXACTLY as you describe to fashion his deck. Then he set it up with Radikals.

    Yeah, it works.

Yea, it works, Ive done it. Its pretty cool, but most new school decks aren't really that long and you will end up with a fairly short wheelbase.

I'm realy after a TS deck so I think short should be ok, I'm aiming around the 18"mark, might have to push the nose forward a bit too.

I'd have to put quite some angle on the back to slow it's turn down.
    otherwise I'd have a forklift.
