Default my 1st sexed up slalom rig

SUBSONIC DECK- basically the 'saint' model but modded the shape to my specifications. tri fiberglass, uni carbon, red to black stain.
SPLITFIRE TRUCKS- gen1 rear, gen2 front
running hotspots, khiro bushings, biltins. griptape is a mix of black magic and the seriously amazing 3m saftey step.

what a day- while at home depot, i met a guy named dave who just moved to CO from santa monica. he used to skate with peralta, adams, alva, and the crew- showed me the scar of his nose from where tony "di*khead" alva punched him, lol. so cool to run into someone like that! anyway, thanks to scott from subsonic for the great craftsmanship, quick turnaround, and exceeding my very high expectations! thanks to wax for helping me get into slalom to start with and for all the advice. besides the green hotspots (who's idea was that color?) it's a looker!

use the RIT fabric dye. it does not affect the urethane
at all. when i dye wheels i let the dye cool down a little
[not boiling hot] before i poor it over the wheels.

    here's how i do it.

    step1: follow dye instructions
step2: put wheels in another container [i dont want to put them in
the hot pan with the dye] and poor dye over them until covered.
step3: let them sit [i usually let them soak overnight], wash /rinse ... done.

    note: USE GLOVES.
also if i need to mark the durometer of the wheels, i use a sharpie.
it will show up under black dye. i write the duro on them after
    dying with a paint marker.

I dye my wheels almost the same way except once the dye comes to a boil, i turn off the stove, let it cool for 10 min then put the wheels in. 40 min is more than enough time, i have found.

Hi, can you please give me some info on the tape you used? Like the price or where to find it. The shape looks really cool with the reflective stripe and people seem to really like 3M 'grips'.

I can't seem to find it on the 3M website. I must be searching at the wrong place. Can you please help me out?

3M is a huge brand that covers lots of stuff so forget their website. the stuff with the refelctive ribbon is a type of 3M saftey walk. you can find it at home depot. they sell different kinds but the one with the reflective ribbon is a pretty small single strip that goes for about 5 bucks. the shape is from me cutting it, and the grip is gnarly good because it was designed for outdoor use to add traction to say, wooden steps.
