I'm in Los Altos, and a mediocre wiggler.
We wouldnt be able to skate until january due to college applying stuff and choir schedule.
But i'd love to meet other wigglers in the Bay
See in the Bay Area we dance a lil' different...

i hear you'll find plenty of guys willing to hook up and help you wiggle and train down in the Castro district. show up in your pink, lavender, turquoise, and black leathers - it will be a real hoot! you might even find a new sponsor! every haybale will have a pink bow or alternating rainbow colors. CHEERS!

has to be one clown in the bunch .... always.

IGSA-1, have you gone over to Purple Skunk skate shop? They might be able to help
you find some folks to run cones with. If you have a dedicated spot, you could hang
a flyer up in the shop for weekly sessions .... just an idea.

A few of us get together, weather permitting, in Marin County. There are a couple good bike paths & also have found a couple nice streets-- not much traffic. Also a great hill in San Jose. Let me know if you're interested.

Rich Sayer. Golden Gate Park is not too good this time of year-- really foggy, wet & slippery. I have his E-mail address if anyone wants to PM me. You never know when he'll be having a session there. I also have 70 cones, so I'm always up for slalom.

Thanks for all of the tips everyone! I was first planning to drive down to the Pumpstation clinic this weekend but I just drove back and forth to L.A. last week and next week I am doing it again for Christmas. I think I'll stay in the Bay Area this weekend instead... Does anyone know if they are going to run in San Jose next weekend? Since I'm in Livermore that sounds like the best option although I would be willing to drive to Marin as well. If you guys have cones I can even provide a timing system. I'll try to stop by Purple Skunk before the weekend and see if they have any info too. You can email me at rietema.m@gravity-sports.com. Looking forward to meeting up with some Bay Area skaters. I'm also looking for people to session with at Pacifica, Ione and the new Granite Park in Sacramento if anyone is interested.

    Hi Marcus,
You probably dont remember but we've met before at a few DH races, Sf gravity fest, almabtrieb and altbureon last year. GGP is the normal slalom spot in SF, their is a slalom spot that people ride at in San jose, along with a sick downhill run, i dont know if you still do that anymore. put a post on ncdsa, Mark Johnson(old street luger) organizes the slalom sessions in san jose.
to go for a skate is to go for a drift, to explore the streets looking for hidden places, opportunities for creative misappropriation; it is to recombine the artifacts of production and reinterpret the city for oneself-ocean howell

Thanks for the info David and yes I remember you! I posted a message on NCDSA for Mark asking about slalom in SJ this weekend. For now I'm focusing on slalom but a new downhill set up might be next...

D.T, thanks for the tip on Cavey and Eli. I have Cavey's number and I'll try to track down Eli. It would be fun to skate with those guys. Looks like I'm going to be having a lot of fun during the off season!!!

good luck getting eli to skate, he's a total flake and never skates anymore, or at least never returns my phone calls. And Cavey. man i have'nt skated with that guy in yeeeaars, back when he was still racing. Last I hear of the caveman was that he was saving little girls from getting eaten by great white sharks off the coast of NorCal by repeatedly punching the shark in the face while on his surfboard.
