    Default Traction and Toe Blocks

Hey guys, what do you use for traction, low grit sand paper, some secret grip tape, toe block, old bushing, what? Post pics if you got 'em. Oh and if you use a toe block and post a pic, try to post one with your feet on the board so we get a better idea.

What do you mean "for traction?" I have griptape on both my slalom decks, like everyone should. One is a Roe so it has that crazy stuff that comes on Roe's, one is a CHIxILL deck that I gripped myself with some standard-issue kickflipper stuff, I think it's just Jessup. I use a barrel bushing with an insert bushing on top as a toe stop on both my boards. Never had a problem with my feet sliding off.

I like to use a gnarlier grade of grip on my slalom decks, such as Edger Grip Tape from Skatekings -- I think it offers superior traction, and I feel it makes a difference for me. I also use foam on some of my decks, mostly as wedge for the rear foot, and sometimes as a toe-block. On some boards I use a screw & bushing as a toe block instead (I think there's a thread floating around here with more details about that). Foam can also be useful on the lateral aspects of the deck if the deck has no concave. It's' mostly about personal preferences. It's good to check out other racer's boards, see what other people are using, try some stuff out, and see what works for you.
I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here.

two flipped conical bushings in the front holes

You can dig your toe right into the _\ shape it makes, works well
