    Default Advice needed...C-Blocks not sticking

    Hey!

Just got my new Axe II today and set it up (I'll post pics in set-ups when my new truks arrive) to try out on the sidewalk (road is covered with ice). Richy C. put a toe-stop on for me using a C-block. Thing rides like a dream, but I popped the toe stop off and it doesn't seem to want to stay stuck (seems to want to stay flat in that killer concave).

I want to re-stick it using an adhesive for more strength, but not sure what to use as I know some adhesives eat foam pretty bad. Anyone else have this problem with their C-Blocks? If so, did you use an adhesive with success? If so what one? I was thinking PL100 or something of the like.

Thumbs up Re: C-Blocks not sticking

I experienced the same problem, so I laid grip tape over the top of the C-block and then the grip tape back on the board. Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws.

shoe gooo does the trick and you'll still be able to get it up eventually.

My $.02, had the same problem, and I've done two things. If the adhesive on the cblock is not contaminated in some way, put it in place, and put a weight on it overnight or longer. I used a 10 pound plate, and after it was gravity pressed, it stayed fine. Second, get some adhesive like the 3m spray-on adhesive. Spray the board, and the cblock, per directions and then put them together. I found the adhesive that comes on the cblock to be sketchy, a couple of the guys I ride with have used grip tape can help hold it down as Eddy suggested.

Ive never ever had this problem, even with putting them on concave decks.

Are you putting them on a dirty surface?

I didn't put the toe-stop on, Sk8Kings did it for me when I ordered the deck. It seemed to be stuck fine, then I took it for a test run and it came off, I had to bail off the front quickly to avoid an icy patch on the sidewalk, which probably tore it off.. It landed on my front lawn and some grass got on the sticky surface, so of course it won't stick anymore. Not a big deal, if spray adhesive won't disintegrate the foam as some adhesives can, I'll just use that and all will be good! I just wanted to know what would work without destroying the c-block.

I had to bail quickly because I was really booking when I saw the ice, and was having so much fun I waited to the last possible second to jump off! I know I am going to love this board!!
