yeah its a great setup and is one of the best designs. also if you want you could just make one. i did and it has more concave than any other deck i have tried for slalom.

You can't beat the Sk8 kings Axe II. Get the "Skennet" front truck and it will work great for tight and hybrid. Use the Tracker RTX, change to the longer wheelbase and it's good for GS. They will also set it up with the proper bushings for your weight and the different disciplines. To top it off, you become part of the Axe Army and Richie will give you tips and advice when you are at the races. www.sk8kings.com

A pic of a Skennet would look just like a Bennett. From the Sk8kings.com website:

"Modified Bennett Truck -- Stainless Steel Axle
In Stock and Ready to Ship -- Customized Bennett Vector Trucks with slalom racing in mind. Thanks to the folks at Bennett Truks -- with a little magic touch modifications from the Brown Bomber -- the final product turns on a dime and will take your standard set up to a new level of performance. With a little nip and tuck mod on the standard hanger along with upgraded axles -- these babies are the bomb for your front racing truck. Featuring extended length case hardened stainless steel machined 5/16 axle for greater strength, precision performance and more flexible wheel spacing options. Overall end to end axle width measurement is 7.5". Spacers and speed rings included."

So just think of a standard Bennett that's even more performance oriented.
Just because you can take a naked picture of yourself doesn't necessarily mean you should.

i just made a tight/hybrid deck cut out from a street deck. just gripped, pointed nose, hard edges, and shlong holes in the back. it'll work fine while it lasts- $40 shipped. will post pics if you want.

Hey guys, I'm just starting to get into slalom and instead of making a new thread asking a bunch of questions, i figured I'd ask in here.

i know a bunch of people have suggested axes as a beginner board, but i really, REALLY hate the look of them, so is there anything else that's good for learning on which is less square and sharp? I'm not sure what type of slalom I'm going to do yet, probably TS

I weigh 71 kg's which is 156 pounds, I'm under 6 foot as well (sorry, i don't know my exact height)

I've already got a Bennett 5.0 and RT-S 129 to match (probably the wrong trucks, but i don't want to have to buy new ones), I'm setting the Bennett up with a Khiro white short cone and barrel on the bottom and an orange barrel on the top, what should i do for the RT-S, or should i just leave it alone?

What wedging should i use? and what length am i going to need on the bolts for it?

as for wheels, I'm probably going to go with mixed duro zig zags like everyone suggests

    Thanks!
