Buckeye Gs Results
So, I'm hearing it like this: as the grizzled veteran circled the track, steel ball in hand, the crowd chanted, "Jon-athon, Jon-athon, Jonathon!"...
Well, it wasn't so far off: Jason "Racer X" Mitchell set a blazing first run that nobody was beating in the first round, until Jonathan B. Harms, the "JBH" came down the hill and broke it. Racer X responded for round two, laying down an even faster time...and nobody came down the hill faster. Nobody, that is, until JBH hit the course for his second run and ripped the only time under 20 seconds for the whole day! He's stoked, the other racers are stoked for him and so are we! RIGHT ON, JBH!!
Here's how I got it over the phone. Bold is "sure", the rest is sketchy
1. JBH
2. Jason Mitchell
3. George Pappas
4. Chris Barker
5. Richy Carrasco
6. Schwippert
7. Cividino (?)
Chaput? Hollien, Kramer, etc... I dunno.
Hey, Mike Cividino ripped it up, too! No more sand-baggin' for '07, and we can see why, bud!
In the Women's division, I've only got two names, but the podium did go 3 deep.
1. Lynn Kramer
2. Cat Young
3.

Actually it was Reflex BigZigs, Radikal front, Seismic rear ("Geezerized"), homemade foamcore deck, no headwind and a wide-open course that allowed me to hold a tuck from the third cone until the end. I sucked donkey balls in the other two races, but the GS went pretty well.
Other highlights: Pappas, Zak, Louis from Canada, Grove City skatepark, gnarly slams, great pavement, FAST courses, and on and on.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas Adams
