Re: Buckeye Hybrid Results
those winds were throwing peoples times off by about 2 seconds if they got caught in them.

Re: Buckeye TS Results
Just got off the phone with George "GFelon" Pappas, its all but official, he is the overall champ. (COSS)
As for the open, they are now in the final 16's and Zak Maytum (COSS-TVAR) qualified second in the prelim's.
Temp's have been about 70ish low humidity.
Hope to have more info soon.

George said that with the winds and to get up to speed on the GS, he stripped off everything..pad's (elbow/knee) and borrowed BodyArmor shorts from Mighty Joe McLaren to be more wind resistant. He also said Jonathan was "amazing." (JBH)
He also said the Pro TS course was "heinous." It was difficult to pump the top at all. (he used his "shot glass" TS ZigZag wheels that would make Kenny Mollica's shot glass wheels envious)
He described the Open TS course as "wide open" and expects Zak to do well through the rounds, but its up to Zak. (Zak prefers tighter "CBark" courses.)
(George practices with Martin (Marv) and Zak (TVAR) in Boulder ColoRADo)

Sorry we have not found out who the others are.
George (via Martin) thinks Killer Karl Floitgraf was the #1 open qualifier.

Re: Buckeye TS Results
Other stuff from the Buckeye.....
Which was epic.....sick courses...fast skating......and people giving blood...
Shannon St Clair: Broken Wrist...radial fracture..., crushed helmet (no idea HOW he didnt get a concussion)
Justin Reading (sp?): Sprained wrist and gnarly face plant. This kid was in a soft cast and a bandaged face from the GS......and came back to skate the hybrid and tight....big props to him...he's got big kahunnas
Keith Hollien: damaged shoulder, wearing a sling when i left
And plenty of road rash, including a donation by Cat, who really turned it on.
And if you missed out...you missed a classic...from the hill...to the afterparty(s)
more later by more people.....

Did Keith mess up the shoulder he had surgery on?
Just because you can take a naked picture of yourself doesn't necessarily mean you should.

Re: Buckeye TS Results
,,,,yep....as for Keith.....same shoulder........may just be a twister....may be more..
Noticed the Fullbag post above.......if you havent met the Quebecens yet, the Fullbagers are rad as hell....fun at the race...fun at the party.........just very cool.
Michelle Gamache bit it hard on the first day and had an ankle that looked like it was swollen about twice the size........(corrected from original post)
There were tons of skaters i've never seen before just tearing it up.......great racing
