Dear community, My return home from the sully was not a plesant one. A major sponsor has pulled out of The Paskapoo DH Rodeo. In good business nature I will not point fingers.
Facing a budget short fall of $30,000 dollars we were forced today during emergancy meetings to make some tough decisions.
The following is our desicion: Based on the lack of registration in the slalom category (only 18 racers on NCDSA, and only 3 who paid in advance on our website) we will be cancelling the Slalom disciplines at our event, this will allow us to cut one day from our schedual at COP.
The race will go on WITH FULL PRIZE MONEY FOR ALL CATEGORIES, on Saturday August 11th. The slide compitition will be held off site at a location in Calgary TBA on sunday. A full Schedual will be availabel within the week and all paid slalom racers will be fully refunded.
Our event is for the racers and the community and we are very disheartned with this development. For any further information, entry refunds or questions please contact me personaly at aaron@paskapoodh.com

i got home too late yesterday to return your phonecall about the canceled slalom. if you already bought your ticket, i'll buy it from you as i wanted to save my air miles anyway for october. i'm still going to enter the dh race since i already told krimes and serial5 that i was going for sure. besides krimes spent all that time describing the course to me and helping me choose what dh equipment to bring that i didn't want his effort to be in vain.

at least i won't have to impose on chris iverson now since he had agreed to let me ship him my oversized snowboard bag full of dh and slalom equipment and also to bring all of this stuff to cop for me on race day.

i will phone you after dinner (about 8pm) to see if you want to hit some cones. i haven't skated for almost a week and your race is coming up this saturday. in answer to your other phone question, i'll tell you what happened at my birthday in person rather than get my friends in trouble with their wives on the off chance that they might be checking this site. seeing that you are only 20 years old--one piece of advice for your future: NEVER LET A BUNCH OF MIDDLE-AGED MEN THROW YOU A BIRTHDAY BASH--ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE MARRIED AND THEIR WIVES NORMALLY KEEP THEM ON SHORT LEASHES!
