YES. Enter.

It's only $20 to enter. That's pretty cheap. Most races it's worth entering just for a chance at the swag. Anyway it's more fun to skate in a contest than just watch. I entered Luna Slalom Jam the first time I ever tried slalom. I didn't win but I had more fun on a skateboard than I have had in years. So by all means enter. If you're gonna be there you might as well enter. You'll be kicking yourself if you don't.

and bring your sarcasm with you. you'll do just fine. who knows, you might even

So is this a downhill slalom race? Like in and out of cones? I've never tried that in my life but I could see it being a blast. What kind of board (in general) do you think I should bring?

Yeah it's in and out of cones. Not sure about the pitch of the hill. I'll see if I can find a link to some photos from last year.

As for boards? You want something that will turn. If you don't have a slalom deck I'm sure we can find you one to borrow. But generally speaking a deck ranging in the twenty something to mid thrity inch range could work.

Shoot me a PM with what boards you have and we'll see what might work. Believe me. If you want do try this guys will be lining up to let you borrow a board and pass on the slalom stoke. It's addictive.

I heard something about this race. I may show up, but I heard the organizer smells funny.

Eatthemeek, definitely enter. The race is very "first time racer friendly." Many of the guys I runs cones with regularly ran cones for the first time at last year's race.
