Default Cut down a foam core slalom board?

I have a foamcore/carbon fibre board a mate gave me and I've re-drilled it shorter. Its wicked, but I now have three and a half inches of extra nose. At first this wasn't a problem, but it
    a) puts me off to look at when skating and makes me feel like I'm standing in the wrong place and
    b) on really tight stuff I think my long nose is affecting my line as I think it may touch cones.
I want to cut the nose on my "Cyrano de Bergerac" model! Now, I'm thinking jig saw with blade for metal, but how do I tidy it up once I cut it down?
I thought of getting a surfboard repair kit but there seem to be 2 kinds, the standard with fibreglass fabric and resin or the ones that are just a putty affair, which would be better?
Would either of them react with the foam? I don't want the core to melt and dissapear!!!!

    HELP!

Can you just redrill the holes in the back to have the same wheelbase, but eliminate the issue of the longer nose?

cutting the foam will ruin the structural integrity of the board regardless if you recover the opening

the foam is next to worthless for structural integrity... its all in the carbon...
just learn to ride the board, its worth a lot, or just trade it to someone for a wood board

The skin is what really makes the board work the waty it was designed. I have a dozen or so foam core decks ..some dating from the 70's and I would never dream of screwing the box construction up because the nose was too long,

have you ever worked with foam, carbon, glass, wood or any other of the materials that skateboards snowboards, ski's or even surfboards are constructed of???? messing with the integrity of the box around the foam and or the foam itself ruins the whole board....it's not worth doing

yes i have, what i said mustve come out wrong...
strength wise the foam isnt doing anything, but it allows the carbon to create boxes and hence construct a strong board

So looks like the general concensus is to live with the beak....I guess its no longer than a Turner Cutaway and they used to work. Its just so long that it makes me feel like I'm standing in the wrong place!
I am tempted to do it and try to re-build the box using fibreglass and carbon but don't want to rush it and I have a big race coming up soon and no cash to replace "the Concorde" if I screw it up.
    So "Fugly" wins!
    Thanks everyone.
    Spike.
