GFH 3'' trucks for slaler?
Hey i just want to get into some beginner slalom, but I'm on a budget. I already have the GFH 3 inchers - So ideally i would like to be able to use those.(khiro greens)
Are these trucks comparable width and performance to most lower-end slalom trucks(i.e. trackers)
What types of slalom boards could i mount these to and have it not look like a big board with tiny trucks?
Ideally i was just going to pick up an AXE I or II and a set of zigs' from MHM.
Again, i'm not going to be doing events - just friendly races with my friends and scooting around town.
thanks in advance

Re: GFH 3'' trucks for slaler?
I've got a set of the Tracker midtracks(?). Hanger width is about 3 and 3/8". With some 66mm ZZ's gets about 6 and 3/4" wide. Looking at that particular set up, it seems really narrow (imho).
Could it be done? Don't really see why not. Especially if your mainly just going to be goofing. Me personally, 109's are as narrow as I can handle and wouldn't put these on anything bigger than a TS dedicated board. Wedge 'em and mess with some bushing combos. See what happens.

Good response from Scabus. You might also watch out for 70mm wheels. Possible that they would rub on the base plate.

But ideally they are too narrow for a TS rig like and AXE I?

Re: GFH 3'' trucks for slaler?
^Yes.^ However, If you set em' up on an AXE 1 I'm sure you'd still have plenty of fun despite the trucks being a little skinny. For your current purposes I see no reason you can't make it work. I would, however, not get the 70mm because you will definitely get wheelbite on your baseplate. Get a 66 zig or a 3dm cambria.
