Default Thinkin about getting into Slalom

Yo fellas, sorry for another one of "these" threads, Was wondering what you thought about flexdexs boards? I'm trying to get a blemed slalom 30 for cheap and maybe getting a tracker combo, what are your thoughts, ive already got a fun 38" sector (yea another one of those, sorry) which I really enjoy riding. While going down this little slope by my house which is all that I have around me I was pumping and wounded what it would be like to start slalom, so now I'm looking to spend some money prolly get the cheapest possible good setup if you know what I mean. Bones reds, wheels?, trucks (tracker combo)?, and should i get a blemmed slalom 30 or spend a little more extra cash and get a nicer board?

The Rtx/Rts combo is the entry level set up.
Next is a Bennett/Rts. IMO. (some sellers will provide one of each)

It goes up sharply from there.

trucks/wheels matter more than board, So long as the board isn't awful that is...

i love my flexdexes for cruising. wouldnt' be my deck of choice for slalom. for that i either want something a bit snappier and stiffer. going cheap, i'd even chop the kick-nose off a simple maple park board and use it for slalom before going with too soft a deck. just my preference. if you can spend a little, the AXE is a great entry level deck that may also become your final deck of choice.

i'd second what steve says about the trucks.

and don't spend much at all on bearings. abec3-5-7, the tolerances are hardly relevant to skateboarding.

if you've got a pool or vert board you could try this.

Every time I come back to this shape I want to change it.
