    Default Spacing Airflow axles

I recently picked up a new Airflow (95mm) and during my pre-purchase investigations about the truck, read a comment to not put spacers on the axles. No reason was given in the post and I can't think of a reason not to. Any guesses or experiences? I ended up spacing it out to 105 and I think it could be spaced out to 114 max.

The reason the axels are long and you are provided spacers with the trucks - IS TO SPACE THEM!!!

That is why they are contructed the way that they are.

Sorry, but this is worngly concluded. Let me give you the correct answers:

There are basically two reasons why you shouldn't space it out.

One is: When you space it out too much your bearings will lay on the threaded part of the axle and thus the wheel won't sit perfectly on the axle anymore. (That's also the actual reason why they come along with spacers. To make the distance from the outer bearing to the threaded part of the axle)

The other is stress. If you space it out too far for a long time you risk to bend the axles. (Especially if you use the truck not only for slalom)

Thanks for the clarification, Raymondo. That makes sense. It looks like the maximum spacing (with a 10 mm hub) is limited to 4mm per axle while still keeping off, but just getting to, the threaded portion.
