I have a sweet Zip Zinger Deck, and want to turn it into a slalom setup, but have no clue what to do, i will be doing research also, but second hand information from the guys who ride the boards is the best input.
It has a solid Concave, kicktail and nose.
I understand i want narrow trucks and grippy wheels with a narrow but strong contact patch, but what should i go with?
I nearly got myself one of these boards. I reckon they rock !!
Id try it with Randal 125s and Zig Zags. It may not be a hardcore slalom set up but it would be fun as anything.
I would start with:
soft Khiro angled risers, wedged-dewedged
106mm Tracker RTX/RTS
62mm Alligators,66mm Zigs, or 66mm Superballs.
Advantage-Gators or Zigs as you can split duro with a harder duro in rear.
85mm may work better for truck width.
70mm wheels may work.....

I have a zinger setup with 85mm trackers, wedges, and tunnel rocks. Its fun for the street, but not the best slalom setup.
Zip Zingers only got a short wheelbase right? I reckon its gonna be a tight turning bastard anyway so why not just start off with some Bennetts or Tracker darts or something, play with some cone dodging and then if you get super serious go an get a real slalom setup? Just have fun. Slalom is fun anyway, get serious later.
