Whenever Silverfish has a problem I always ask on SS.com is anyone else is having problems.
So, it's only fair that when SS.com is having problems, I post an update on Silverfish.
The server is whacked and the admins (meaning Jani Soderhall) are aware of the problem.
For those who don't know, SS.com is served and managed in Europe so there's not a whole I can do sitting in South Carolina. Åll I can do is like everyone else and wait for Jani to get the matter resolved.

SS.com gets lots of traffic. Most of it, though, is in the European forums and some of the Regional forums. There's not a whole lot of discussion lately in the Manufacturer's forums but I think that's more of a reflection of people out riding instead of typing.
Although there's a good amount of Bool Sheet smack talk and conversation back and forth, SS.com is really supposed to be a RESOURCE for slalom skaters more than a community discussion board. As an Administrator I see literally hundreds of "guests" each week in the various forums. I can tell you I know they are checking out Pavel, reading up on Radikal, seeing if there's any news on the latest release of new GOGs, how does Gecko put the kicktail in a foam core board, and trying to find out what's so special about "black ops" urethane.
And that's what the forum is for and I think we succeed.
The only thing I'd like to see more of and I've tried to generate is more input from the manufacturers ABOUT their product. Not the latest sale price or who won, but real dynamic information about what a piece of equipment does and especially what justifies the price. In other words, a lot more "techie" talk. That, however, is just my preference.

Just so you'll know,
SS.com has been "on the air" for 2171 days (since 8/21/02.) There are a total of 54562 posts for an average of @25 a day. Over the past four months that average has actually been down around 22 a day. So, it's fallen off "a little," but the traffic is still rather steady.
Of course, I know 25 posts a day probably doesn't match what Silverfish does in an hour. But SS.com is a niche site supporting what in truth is probably around 3,000 slalom skaters worldwide. So, we ain't doing too bad.
