What do you think of the slalom coverage at the Gorge Games on Fox Sports?
I caught the tight slalom event today. Not a lot of time dedicated to it but no less than anything else the were showing I guess. It was mostly just the final bracket runs for the winners. That's fine. I thought it came off pretty good. It looked like they sped the playback up a little but was still fun to watch. I think right now I'm just stoked that they had a slalom race on TV and they treaded it fairly seriously. The new school/old school thing was a bit cheesy.
They are doing the hybrid races on Saturday. We'll see how that comes off.

Yeah I just happened to catch the last part and watched Pappis smoke the course! I thought they gave us good coverage but didn't really profile any of the riders or gear verry well...
Still it was better than nothing! Tomarrow is the Hybrid and then the next time might be the GS... That should be cool.
I work in a resturant and I noticed some slalom racing on one of the TVs.It was the Gorge Games.When did this start and from where.I now have my DVR set to record all Gorge Games.Looked prety cool,slalom racing on TV.
So I watched the Gorge Games today. Another installment. No slalom. They did do a bowl jam contest. The coverage of that was nowhere as good as the tight slalom coverage was. They said the hybrid would be broadcast on Saturday.
On the subject of the lack of coverage of riders and gear. Given that they are trying to fit three events into a half hour show I think I'd rather see the action than the interviews. Saturday is an hour long so maybe we'll see a little more in depth coverage.

Yeah I would rather see the coverage too, but they profiled all the kite surfers and gear descriptions for half of the program... I guess were not as cool.
I have to say that overall I find the Gorge Games coverage pretty half assed. It's all highlights and interviews and bad commentary. I'm glad that something like this is getting coverage at all but it could be better. So far I thought the slalom may have gotten the best treatment overall from what I've seen but then I am biased.
Hybrid on Saturday.

Thanks for posting the slalom video.Need more tv footage and add to xgames.Also need to put the downhill racing back on xgames.I noticed that nobody does the skier stance any more.
