Brown Bomber Lays Down A 20.179 On 100-Cone Course At Antrim

Just got a call from Brad Jackman in Antrim using Hollien's phone.

The big news on Friday is Richie Carrasco just ran a 100-cone CLEAN RUN at 20.179 seconds.

That's clean

Around 30 skaters are taking a run at the 100-cone course but so far NO ONE is close to Richie's time. The hill is fast and Pappas set a straight course that accordians from 5.5 to 7 and back to 5.5 feet at the end.

So far only Richie and Lynn Kramer have run clean.

The important thing to keep in mind with Richie's time is he was slaloming FIVE CONES PER SECOND.

Everyone needs to go out, set up a timer on a very steep hill and charge as fast as possible into JUST FIVE CONES. Then see the elapsed time.

Five cones at 6-foot spacing is 24 feet (you know, four spaces) per second.

Try it. And then repeat it 19 more times.

Everyone screams and cheers and there was much rejoicing
Someone steps on the tape switch
The time is lost forever

umm............who's gonna tell the Bomber? Not f%&ckin' me!

So we tell him, he's bummed, but not devestated
So then he does it two MORE times clean - one of which being the World Record!
Finally on his fourth run, he hits a cone.

It was astounding to watch

I got aboot 25 cones in and just got lost.
You have NO idea how many cones 100 is till you see it!

Wes, stop posting false info on the forums. Richy's time for his clean run was not 20.179 seconds. I know cause I was handling the timer, Excelmate, and spreadsheets. Pictures of the timer were taken...

I wasn't there. I was told by Brad the time. I reported it.

Anything else you'd care to tell me to do or not to do or are you done for now?

whatever the final hundreths/tenths of seconds on Richy's record comes out to, this point is so true...

100 consecutive cones is wicked on your brain, after a couple years attempt, I still haven't got my head around it.

i'm curious too, any video??
