For the racers who have a Costco card and are renting cars, AVIS has a rental special that the 3rd day is free. I have not read the restrictions yet, if any. I will check it out this week.

Also Southwest Airlines has a three-day sale going on (starting yesterday, I think). Best deals around, IMO.

Not sure now if I will be able to make it. Half my house got gutted by a broke water line. It's bad. I don't know if I'll get to make any races for awhile. You can read all about it "Today Sucked" over in Anything Goes. I have pics so it did happen.

Well Crapola! I knew the Siz was happening in late March and was looking forward to taking part. Then my vision was fogged by the Maryhill Freeride on the front page those fateful couple of days in early January which I hastily signed up for. Probably about 135th on the list, they were only taking maybe 90riders, no chance I would make it, WRONG. For some reason I made it, one of only a few older dudes, and now I'm really torn. Chit man, I love that hill, been there once before, can't wait to go again, gonna really miss-out here, I know. You still have that set-up for me Eddy? I can probably fund it in a couple of weeks. Thanks for that.

YA'LL have a good time! Maybe something fortunate or un-fortunate will happen forcing me to stay, but got plane ticket and get to see my son in Portland, oh well.

I know, let the ridicule begin, I asked for it.

It all depends on how the reconstruction goes. I have had a few people offer up some fund raising ideas to help me cover my expenses if I go. So there is hope. I'm not taking my name down off the list quite yet. I've already missed one race today thanks to this. We shall see. I'm playing the waiting game at this point. I hate that game.

Damn,Sniff, that's a sucky one. Was the break related to that crazy ice storm y'all had? I heard it shut down half the state. We get some gnarly ice storms here, too, but never as bad as that one. Hope you can recover/replace what was lost.

I may have to give up my vacation days for racing for meeting with contractors and stuff like that there.

You can either call the hotel directly or book online.
If you call, tell them you are with the Texas Sizzler.
The prices are the same either way.
I just booked my room. Friday & Sat are $50.99 & Sunday is $46.99... very affordable.
Remember I can not guess your shirt size. So if you do not paypal me soon, you are at the bottom of the shirt pile. You pay on site you will still get your contest shirt after everyone else. We are up on the NCDSA sign up calender.

OK Texas DownHillers you do not have to run in the slalom events if you do not feel capable. All is cool. Sign up, paypal and please enter your shirt size. Or you will find your selves at the bottom of the shirt pile, wearing a small. We are not sure of running 4 man heats due to time restraints. But if we do will set up gates and make the course technical. Sounds good. We will have to tear down the slalom course quite quickly and get the DownHill going. That means I need plenty of help. Do not start shooting down the hill when we are setting up. Running me over is not cool. Be on our best behavior. Travis County Sheriff will be there. Schlater. Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws
