Re: 2009 Texas Sizzler
OK Bros start sending me PM's with your shirt sizes. I need to know SOON. Or you will end up with a large, medium or small contest shirt. The shirts go to print on Monday. Sorry I got alot of emails of skaters asking me for bro deals on the entry fee. No can do. We got overhead BIG TIME. Thank you to all of our sponsors. I know the times are tough. But some how you guys have managed to send something. Again even though we throw DownHill into the mix. No longboard companies have stepped up this year. I repeat no LONGBOARD companies have stepped up. I got one email. But NADA. Thank You Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws.
I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world.. without you. A world without rules or controls, without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible.

Re: 2009 Texas Sizzler
Hi everybody,
looks like I'll be able to make it to the Sizzler but be warned, I may be a hazard to everyone's health. . . I'm used to riding in northern indiana (flat as a tortilla) and northwest ohio (flatter than a tortilla), and this will only be my second-ever race (the first being the week prior to the sizzler, near Chicago)
So, I guess it will be an interesting experience? See you all there!

Is it a must that we pay before or can we pay when we get there? I'm not worried about shirt size.

Re: 2009 Texas Sizzler
Right on everyone who has paypaled. Thank You. Things are starting to shape up. The Texas boys, I mean men are practicing hard. From slalom to downhill. We have skaters coming in from all over Texas. For those of you who have never been to our state. It is huge, gigantic, AWESOME. It takes me 4 1/2 to get to Austin. Austin is a great place to hang out in it is our State Capital. Time permiting on the Big Hill I am thinking of letting some Luge skaters race as well. Thinking hard on this one. We have the Hill for 12 hours. So we have to move fast. If we run GS, Hybrid and DownHill and all in one day. We have to move fast. So please everyone cooperate. Can it be done. Hell ya. Why do I say this. Well I have been to great races such as the DIXIE CUP and run the Friday night in freezing conditions, but everyone was STOKED even when the timing system froze up. At Da Farm Joe I ran 4 disciplines in one day contest in one day. This depends on the amount of racers, time and WEATHER. So here we go. Wish us luck. Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws.

Re: 2009 Texas Sizzler
Eddy,
You can do it pal. Make sure everyone has a # and they know it. Have somebody giving 5 minute warnings, calling three, four racers at a time. get em lined up. And don't be afraid to DQ somebody's run. You shouldn't have to wait for someone blazing up in the bushes. And none of the BS asking for your time, it slows down the race.

Re: 2009 Texas Sizzler
According to the weather.com website the sun rises in Austin on March 28 at 7:25 and sets at 7:45. That's plenty of time to do everything if 60 skaters show up. That's enough time to do everything if 75 attend.
It's all a question of commitment and getting out of bed really early just one day out of the year.
Just because you can take a naked picture of yourself doesn't necessarily mean you should.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cold beer in one hand - longboard in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, Yeaa Haaa What A Ride!!!

Re: 2009 Texas Sizzler
They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that certainly goes for these deals on Orbitz this week. Right now, you can fly to cities across the state for as little as $140 roundtrip, including taxes.
These fares are valid for travel most dates, late March-August. Here are a few of our favorite (roundtrip, incl. taxes) fares:
Pittsburgh-San Antonio ... $140
Chicago-Dallas ... $140
Fort. Lauderdale-San Antonio ... $165
Los Angeles-Houston ... $171
Cincinnati-Austin ... $175
Philadelphia-Austin ... $179
San Francisco-Austin ... $207
Washington, D.C.-Houston ... $204
New York City-San Antonio ... $218
