Default race in San Pedro

Hey folks, there's another little slalom race coming up this Friday night (10/3) in Pedro. Address is 1966 Crescent Ave., San Pedro, CA 90731.

We thought it might be fun to have a little hybrid race the night before the bigger giant slalom race at JPL, for people who like the 'two race weekend' thing.

Warmup is at 7pm, race is at 8pm. $10 entry goes to prizes: 30/25/20/15/10%. Kids enter free unless they want a split of the action, then it's the $10 entry.

Signup is optional, over at NCDSA. You can just show up and race if you've got a board and a helmet. For that matter there should be spare boards around if you don't have one. Helmet mandatory in any case.

The course will be easy hybrid. The idea is that you can ride it on 'any slalom board'. The slope is easy and the surface good. Single lane, unlimited push, tape switch timing.

This race will also have no per-cone penalties. 3 cones = OK, 4 cones = DQ. Racers will get three timed runs, the fastest of which will count for final placing.

Come on down and help us kick some ass at the harbor this Friday night. Friday night massacre, baby!
