Default Chi+Spiegel Looser Alert

Welllllllll, couldn't put it off any longer.
Gary and Zack got strung along about as far as my outright liighing blotardness could go so tah dah,

Yeah, I'm shipping boxes.

Oh, what's in them?

Per box, a GiVA track slalom deck, hardware, 2 sets of mount plates (quick change options) and a set of BuckTard Wedges.

The boards got knocked out pretty quick then Sniffleless started to pipe up about the plates so those got redesigned then Gary wanted a kick wedge last time and was already after me about one, the bucktard gave me an idea for the wedges that got smerged with something surly said and then ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............

and two months later:

So the board itself is ~ 9" X 32" and 1lb 12oz of carbon/kevlar/maple/birch/core cell.

The heart of the board line is the GiVA track.

The track is designed to fit across all of the board lines - skate/surf'/kite/paddle/dune - so it maintains a generic, all-around implementation with common hardware. Upgrades feature lower profile hardware on the plate side. The track side is moving to stainless.

The mount plates are 4 layers of glass and maple. The plates are molded over the the same rocker/concave mold to match the articulation so one of the leetle mods was to machine the surface flat to mount the base wedge/plates.

The track side bolts are machined to include a 10-32 mounting hole that will mount the kick wedge shown above as well as toe stops and other stuff that is in the works.

Lastly, the BuckTard Wedges.

5, 7.5, 10 and 15 degrees. Mix and match to give you 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5 and 25 degrees with the added bonus that stacked wedges for a 1/4" plus riser with the preferred angle.

So, yeah.
Hope that does you guys.
And Joe, the one that was going to you is in my grubby hands till Dixie.
If you like it when you see it there, I'll be happy to let you run away with it for a while.
Night.
Brian

Amazing boards. Like seriously amazing, those are awesome. I wish I had channeled my chi-spiegel into my logo with a little more sleaze and shadowy business transactions.

Hot dam, that shizz is off da chain!!

Awesome work Brian, absolutely original, as always. Keep it up!

Just curious, whats the reasoning behind the Kevlar in a slalom deck? Vibration dampening?

A mix of the horror story that is chicago-longboards and firnspiegel... search if you dare.
basically the entire name & branding is a joke...

Oh, I searched and now I get it those firnspiegel decks were ugly but anyway who makes chi+spiegel? I searched and found only four results with little info and and what boards are made by them as the ones I saw were really nice.

Brian at feral arts. aka brainfartalerts

Dried skink boardsports is the 'parent company' of chi+spiegel
if you can call it that.

anyhow great guy, great boards.
I ride one of his that has a cardboard core and it's stiff-as under my 210 odd weight.

Firnspiegel were terrible, Chicago were beautiful.
both walked away with people's money and failed to provide the boards...
hence- "in fraud we trust"
