Default Cheap Cones

Tagsrover and I have been using solo cups when we slalom so we decided to up the anty to some real cones. We went to Dunham's today and it was $6 for 4 cones! Anyone know the cheap cone hook up?

Just buy some stroopwaffels before every session. You can slalom those and eat them afterwards!

Tennis balls cut in half make good practice cones. Also washers painted red work good.

We use 1.25 liter bottles with a cup or so of water in them.

I hate to say it, but wal-mart. in the sporting goods section with the team sports gear. usually 4 cones for $3.50, but saw them on sale for 4 for $2 the other day. Picked up 40 and am going to trim the bases with a band saw to allow closer manuvering to the cones as the stand up one have a square base. They carry stand up cones and disc cones. Sorry to support the evil empire, but really needed cones and couldn't afford $2 a piece. Have fun.

Party City sells cheerleading megaphones for $1.29 each.
They have a Shout sticker on them which easily comes off.
Mine are all plastered in concrete wave and Muir stickers.
They work great, they're durable, and they plink when you hit them,
none of that rolling under your wheel crap, which is dangerous.
I bought 40 something of them and so far they have been great.
They're very close in dimensions to standard slalom cones,
and they are heavy enough that they don't move in the wind.

Check out the dollar store or Party City for cones like that. Found some congrats to the Grad that were prefect,i finally bought some real cones so i use em for start/finishes now.

stay away from the soccer style cones at wal mart, if you run one over they can get sucked up by your wheel
