The Downhillbilles are working on getting a new spot for The Beast. We are about 95% sure we’re going to have this hill. It’s going to be the fastest slalom race ever held. We are looking at 3 days of GS. Friday night is not that fast. Everyone comes from the top somewhere around 30 mph at a super fun school with lots to skate. Saturday we’re looking at a 50 mph hill if the wind is not blowing. The hill is somewhere around 1400’ long. We will run a B start from ½ way. This is still going to be fast!! 30 – mph.… Sunday we will either be back there or at Hobby Park. There’s a hill in Old Fort that is sick…very sick. It’s 3.5 miles long 12’ wide and drops about 2200’ and is closed to cars. Beware of the cliffs, bikes, walkers, rock faces and the new black butter that was just laid down. If we don’t have a big turn out and everyone wants to go there on Sunday I’m keeping this open for a road trip for some downhill… This hill is sick and very very dangerous! You MUST know how to foot brake to skate Old fort. You cannot run this hill without braking or sliding….Sunday is open for now. For the ones that are coming, let me know what you would like to do - High Speed cone race or sick ass Mt. Ride….. I’m down for it all!!! Oh yea, party with band Sat. night with skate ramps and cook out. Bring your own food to put on the grill! As of now, I have not had a lot of response about the race so I’m not putting a lot of work into it. We will set all courses the day of the race so that way no one is out skating them. Again this is a weekend about having lots of fun. Come make history as we set the fastest race with the fastest ramp…. Hope to see ya soon
As Juggy likes to say, “you can’t be drunk all day if you don’t start in the morning. Let’s get down!!!!”
