O-tang thane beats the pants off of Drifters as far as long lasting goes. But Drifters slide way farther than o-tangs. imo

Apologize if this has already been covered, interested in putting Hybrid 215's on my Deeznutz. For anyone who has done this, did you find that more wedging/dewedging was desirable? How much riser would one recommend with, oh, say, 72mm of Cult Psychothane?

indys are too low for a 1.7" drop. and yes a 10* wedge is too much, the pivot is at a weird angle. and those wheels would be way to small to even work with indys are about 1/2 lower than 50* randals.

oh man had an awsome day! went for a big skate after school on my nutz setup with randal 50* with double red barrel front (venom) and both red, elim bottom barrel top on the back. with 81a 65mm strikers. wicked fun set up for stand ups and shitting round. got home and took both my isis and deeznutz apart and put my crails on the Nutz, full elims with red bottom yellow top and double red back. took it for a few short fast runs down my hill and just WOW! so amazingly comfortalbe and stable yet really responsive. getting up really realy in the morning to make the 3 hour trip to New zealands first outlaw. cant wait!!!! so long SF for a few days. im relatively confident that i will make the junior podium so wish me luck!

so true, I run SZ's on my 'Nutz AND I use 1/2'' worth of Paris riser on it. Mostly to use 4 pres without rail bite. Awesome set up, though.

i run 72mm (probably smaller now) amber freerides on my nutz no problem. 1/2" Riser, 42* Randals...im not sure the Nutz would be the kinda board to run indies on though...look at the Dtap!

I'm not quite sure what the drop is on my caften (searches for specs turned up fail) but it does have the front wedging kinda like the DZ. I threw my hybrid 215s on there just for the fun of it, and I don't regret it at all. A khiro wedge riser to dewedge it a little and its amazing. 72mm retro freerides makes it so close to the ground for rail bite, but haven't gotten any yet. If you already have a your DZ and have some indys/hybrids and are contemplating setting it up, do it. try it out. worst that'll happen is that you spend an extra 10min putting different trucks on.
It's longboarding, experiment, have fun. Don't give in to the standard "dervish, randalls, otang" models. Do it wrong for once, but above all else, go skate.

I know I'm not the only one go the hybrid route and extoll it's virtues.
May be that what the guy has. Don't squash his nutz dreams by telling him he has to get some OMG precision futhermuckers or it just... won't.... work.

(disclaimer: bomb in my case probably means speeds all you super tech, heavy duty gnarass skaters push faster. ... but still, I get my tuck on. )

you might have to run a little bit of riser but thats it.

indies with drop decks i find that if the axle isnt past the bottom of the deck you get a floating swerve feeling in the ride. this makes it less responsive and kinda unpredictable to a certain point. so as long as you can manage to get the axle to be lower than the standing platform with some risers youll have a very nice rice.

What are you talking about? There is no way my o-tangs (80a) slide farther than my drifters (83a) and there is no way they wear faster. Please explain where I fail.

Had several folk try to pay me before orders were ready to go this week... and a couple of folk today asking.
Unless an order requires a custom mold or is very unusual, we do not take payment before a board is done.
I appreciate the offers and yes, we do like to be paid But, we just find this works better.
