Rode her for a bit today, didn't do anything crazy though. Hit a couple 25mph or so hills and the board feels amazing at that speed, moves really fluidly and feels great under your feet. I'm running an 88a sabre on bottom and 85 elim on top with 42* plates. Very nimble feeling, even at slower speeds. The concave is really what blew me away on this though. At first it looked like a little too much, but it feels perfect.

I'll ride this some more and then make an attempt at giving it a thorough review.

Second time this week I've went from 6pm - 2am finishing a new raw board.
I won't ride mine until Sat probably. Let the paint and poly cure well.
I had 42* plates waiting and put 180 hangars on it but kept the stock red randals for now. 76mm Seismic SpeedVents have been waiting for it.
Banner red edge and center over Pumpkin orange top and very simple Celtic Knot.
I was going to open a separate thread for the pics but phhhhht, if you don't like 'em... DEEZNUTZ!

so bare, it would've caught a cold

punkin orange base 1st coat

red heart taped and sprayed

3 coats of polycrylic and now it's time to get a grip
between coats I put the trucks and wheels together

grip done... finally

Focus was fornicated here but I've got a couple of cool stickers that will make it go faster anyway, so a better pic later.

, what's the public opine on just leaving those stock red randals in there? I won't be seeing the vicious speeds most of you do, or it was designed for but hopefully see something 25-30 one day.
I do have khiro, sabre and some reflex bushings on hand.

(can't wait till Sat morning and go run it down my wannabe hill.)

sabres. at your weight the randals might be a bit twitchy (probably not) but they wont have very much rebound. i say run purple sabre barrels all around

I'm loving the 88a Sabre/85a Elim combo. The eliminators have such a strong rebound and are super stable, so if you can get your hands on a set I definitely would.

And I would say anything smaller than a 70mm wheel and you'd risk rail bite, but that would be on 42* plates. I haven't seen if it's any taller on 50*.

Board is looking rad! ... As for the stock bushings & 42 plates that is a no... they seem to fall off so far that you can dig the front corner rail.. on 50's they are ok... but 42's will need an upgraded bushing. Mine's got a Blue Radikal barrel & a red Khiro.. still ultra turny but won't compress so much that you dig...

You'll find those speeds easy and comfortable on that board no prob... looking forward to hearing how you like it...

Glad you like the cave... it really took a long time to dial it in like that... it started as a full radius then a flat cave and every incarnation in between... when you get up to speed you'll find it tucks well and the pockets give you fantastic footing for when it's time to get drifty...

My board is traveling with Alex till next week & I'm really missing her...

I've got Hybrid 215's on my Toe with purple/orange sabres and Grapey Apes. It's a plush carving ninja that's gotten love from everyone that's tried it. Come on over and give it a whirl.

Grapey Apes I'm assuming (not always a wise thing to do I know) meaning purple Avila's? I was thinking Lime Freerides since they are my favorite Abec11 wheel. I take it the board rides low
