Owens Field Skatepark Opens (Again)

I did not see this report. Some friends this morning saw a report on WIS-TV that the Owens Field skatepark got a $25,000 grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation.

I am assuming this is the same park that's always been there and it's now new and improved. As soon as THE STATE or one of the TV or radio stations up date with an online story I'll post a link,

Now for the facts:

15,000 square foot all-concrete park at Owens Field. The GROUNDBREAKING was today. The opening date is March 1, 2009.

Bowls, pipeline, rails, stairs and assorted vertical fun,

The old wooden park is going away (if it hasn't already.)

Do you mean March '10? Because I'm rather sure March 09 has already passed.
