I just moved from the Camp Lejuene/Jacksonville area in 2010. Had boards and had stoke but not allot to choose from hill wise, I would suggest though if anyone has a military ID, go onboard Camp Lejeune, it's not the best as in long drawn out runs with technical turns or anything, but best you will get in that general area. The asphalt bike bath that runs beside the main drag going into Camp Lejeuene (Holcombe blvd) had about four 25-30 MPH short hills along that bike path, paving is mostly smooth so you're good up to about 83a on duro before it starts beating you. Allot of the hills cross creeks with wooden foot bridges at the bottom so I'd recommend about a 75mm-ish wheel to deal with the cracks between the wooden planks. There are some medium hills on the bike path that runs along new river on the base that have some decent curves at the bottom. If you're not a West Coast person that is used to some truely scary stuff you'll be thoughly entertained and it will be worth the trip from Wilmington on a nice sunny day in the spring.
