    What's up Wilmingtonians? (Wilmingtonites?)

I'll be moving down there over the summer. Are there any good spots for sliding within an hour's drive of Wilmington?

Found a short, steep, run in downtown wilmington can do about 30mph if you straight out bomb it. The police don't mind people skating it either since there's virtually no traffic on the hill. ... the pavement is fresh

If you know where the PPD is it's one block north of it, you'll know it when you find it.

I'm with this guy ^. Also to the guy who was talking about the spot near the PPD in Wilmington, were you refering to Cowan St.?

After they get done with all the construction downtown there should be some fun short hills. Check out around second and red cross.

Also the parks are really fun for mellow runs. Not much inline but it is smooth as silk. Check out Haliburton park and the new Smith Creek park.

I just moved from the Camp Lejuene/Jacksonville area in 2010. Had boards and had stoke but not allot to choose from hill wise, I would suggest though if anyone has a military ID, go onboard Camp Lejeune, it's not the best as in long drawn out runs with technical turns or anything, but best you will get in that general area. The asphalt bike bath that runs beside the main drag going into Camp Lejeuene (Holcombe blvd) had about four 25-30 MPH short hills along that bike path, paving is mostly smooth so you're good up to about 83a on duro before it starts beating you. Allot of the hills cross creeks with wooden foot bridges at the bottom so I'd recommend about a 75mm-ish wheel to deal with the cracks between the wooden planks. There are some medium hills on the bike path that runs along new river on the base that have some decent curves at the bottom. If you're not a West Coast person that is used to some truely scary stuff you'll be thoughly entertained and it will be worth the trip from Wilmington on a nice sunny day in the spring.
