All the UGA decks are pretty chill as well. On weekdays go after around 11:30- ish and the workers will have left. No one works in the garages on Sunday's either.
As far as other runs go Trade st. is awesome for a short steep hill. Bridgewater is a badass neighborhood that's pretty much a series of crisscrossing smooth paved roads on a decently steep hill side.
If you ever want to get some people together to go skate me and eastone go riding all the time and are always down to show some folks new runs.

Go scout north of Augusta. It looks like the Townes Rd. area might be fun. Not too far from you. Google Maps with the terrain option set will help...

Last I heard was you said someone had started building somewhere along the hill. Did that happen?
Just because you can take a naked picture of yourself doesn't necessarily mean you should.

I'm assuming that sine you said stationed, you are military. We were stationed at Fort Gordon for a while too. If you drive to Gordon lake there is a pretty nice hill for carving on the way.
Now we're stationed at Fort Stewart, I guess the Army didn't want to pay to move us too far. so if any one ever wants to ride some parking garages with me in savannah, hit me up.

Try the new deck out by the I-fields. There is no worker there, everything is automated... I would still go in the late afternoon or night though to avoid cars backing out and running over you.
Have a good time, I'll probably see you on campus.

Yeah, the deck at the I-fields was opened last semester. The one by the art school has been open forever hasn't it? I may be thinking of the Ramsey deck though. idk what you're talking about.

I was talking about the 4 story one next to the new art school, not north deck if that's what you were thinking.
We should try to round up all the Athens boarders for a deck/campus skate similar to this: Join the 1st Gnar Garage Shred Sesh (GGSS) Calling All Tampa and Miami Riders!

Re: GA longboarders?
My cousin and I once skated to every deck on campus all in one night, but that was about two years ago. Those were sillier times. Garages are boring now, i like to skate lumpkin, start up at downtown and finish near the tait center. or baxter is fun too. im down for a campus sesh this weekend.

Yeah. lol. I know some spots. I'd like to take a trip up there but some of those roads are gnarly. Northern Hall County, Lumpkin County, White County, Clarksville, Hellen, Rabun County (Rabuns Gap area mainly), and pretty much all area codes that start with 305XX (North East GA) have some killer spots.
I don't remember road names, but there is one mountain that has a few steep hairpins and is probably 70mph a on some parts. My car barely made those grades last time I drove through there. It's up toward tho smokey mountains.
There are more mellow hills in Hall county (where I grew up). I know hundreds of spots there. As for the other places, there are no flat areas, it's all bomb-able.
On Cleveland Highway leaving Hall County, there is a long stretch which you could hit 60mph+ and it's fairly straight and even grade.
The most gnarliest hill I have ever seen is Vaughndale Cir, Gainesville GA, 30506. It's short (maybe 1/3 mile) but it was so steep, they didn't allow the school buses to travel on it. Once, a substitute driver tried to go up it and over heated the engine. It was too sketchy to back down, so we had to transfer buses while a tow truck and a professional driver came. The thought the breaks were going to give out while we got off. At the bottom is a TIGHT lefthand90* turn. It's only about 8' wide. Two cars can't fit on it at once. Ditches, loose gravel, and mail boxes pose threats... But I'd imagine if you bombed it and lived, your child will be born with super human abilities.
The Sardis area is full of mellow hills. None more than a mile long before they start going up hill again.
Northwest Lumpkin county has some NICE runs, though I'm not ready for that kind of action. I had to tow a truck and trailer through that crap for work and some roads had no lines, looked one lane, and had amazingly tight turns and hairpins. I don't know road names.
If ya'll want to make it a few day event, go to Vogel State park and do some camping. It's a sweet campsite with tons of #### to do. It won't matter which direction you go when you leave there, you will find spots.
