Looking to start a group in athens georgia

topic says it all. me and my roommates all ride as often as possible. we would love to skate in a big group. any takers?

there are quite a lot of longboarders in athens. most just do solo riding. the owners of the new zion skatepark were talking about starting a group thing. talk to them and the people at the skate shop of athens, to get people to join, and get them on silverfish.

there is supose to be a contest in october in athens every year, but i haven't heard anything about it recently.

Shoot me a PM if you ever want to ride. Me and my friends skate as much as possible, but it's always more fun with a big group.

I'm in!

I live about 5 minutes from Zion and I drop by skate shop of athens almost weekly to show them my new boards.

nice! got any speedboard designs? id like to help test any prototypes you got going, and i know some guys in oconee looking to spend money into longboarding.

I think 95% of the longboarders out there aren't members of SF.

Post fliers. Find a busy intersection near the campus and post up for a few hours. Bound to see someone skate by who knows people.

Yeah, make a facebook group or something and post fliers around telling them to join it. thats what were doing over at SPSU.

it will explode fast! the next day after making our group, we had about about 10 people join it.

then if there is enough people you can make an official uga club too

I get done with my classes today at 3:15 and then I'm getting some guys together to go skate campus. Skate around campus today and we'll be there.

I like skating in groups, but I also like skateboarding by myself. My schedule, my spot (hill).

Want people to skate with? Go skateboarding, don't type about it on the internet. Go to the skateboard park and talk to other skateboarders. Ask the guy at the skateshop about the difference between Randal R2's and DH's. Be a skateboarder.

It's fun.

And come to Go Skateboarding Fast Day on Trade Street June 21st @ 7pm.
